At Paynesville bakery & Cafe, baker will be responsible for preparing, producing and baking a variety of fresh breads, pastries, cakes and other bakery products in accordance with established recipes and quality standards. The role involves measuring and mixing ingredients, preparing doughs and batters, operating baking equipment, and monitoring baking times and temperatures to ensure consistent product quality. The Baker will also be responsible for maintaining cleanliness, hygiene and food safety standards throughout the bakery, managing ingredients and inventory, monitoring stock levels, and ensuring proper stock rotation to minimise waste. The successful candidate must be able to work efficiently in a fast-paced bakery environment, manage daily production requirements, and collaborate with other team members to ensure the timely preparation and availability of fresh bakery products.

Qualification & experience

Previous experience as a baker preferred.

Must have Certificate iii and Certificate IV in Baking, pastry or similar.

Knowledge of baking techniques and food safety practices.

Ability to work early mornings, weekends, and public holidays as required.

Strong attention to detail and time management skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
