Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Workshop Manager with a Boilermaker/Welder (BMW) trade certificate to lead our workshop team and oversee daily operations.
About the Role
Reporting to the Senior Project Manager, you will take a hands-on leadership role coordinating workloads, maintaining quality standards and keeping workshop jobs running on schedule. You will be responsible for ensuring work is delivered safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
Key responsibilities
- Manage daily workshop operations, job scheduling and workloads.
- Lead and support boilermakers, welders and apprentices.
- Ensure work meets specifications, quality standards and deadlines.
- Coordinate materials, equipment and staffing requirements.
- Maintain a safe, organised workshop and enforce safety procedures.
- Communicate job progress and priorities with management and the team.
Essential requirements
- A recognised Boilermaker/Welder (BMW) trade certificate.
- Currently based in the Goldfields region.
- Previous workshop management or supervisory experience.
- Solid fabrication and welding knowledge, including the ability to read engineering drawings.
- Effective leadership, communication and organisational skills.
- Current C Class Driver’s Licence
- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical, drug and alcohol screen
