Warrikal is seeking an experienced and commercially minded Head of People & Culture to lead our P&C; function and shape our people strategy as the business continues to grow.
Reporting to the CEO, this is a key leadership role working closely with Executive and Operations teams to ensure our people strategy supports safe, productive and sustainable operational performance.
We are looking for a P&C; leader with strong operational exposure who understands the pace and complexity of a mining services environment and can confidently partner with leaders across both site and corporate teams.
The Role
You will lead Warrikal’s People & Culture function and partner closely with Executive and Operations leadership to support business growth and operational performance.
You will:
- Develop and deliver Warrikal’s People & Culture strategy aligned to business and operational priorities.
- Build and maintain practical, responsive and commercially focused P&C; practices.
- Provide strategic advice across employee relations, industrial relations, performance, organisational change and workplace compliance.
- Coach and support managers and senior leaders to strengthen their capability and confidence in managing people.
- Leverage workforce insights and data to support Executive decision-making.
- Strengthen leadership capability, employee engagement and workforce culture across site-based, FIFO and corporate teams.
About You
You are an experienced and commercially minded People & Culture leader with robust operational exposure and an understanding of the pace and complexity of a mining, resources, engineering, construction or heavy industrial environment.
You will bring:
- Experience partnering closely with Operations and senior leadership in an operational workforce environment.
- Demonstrated capability across employee and industrial relations, including Australian employment law, Fair Work, Awards and enterprise agreements.
- An understanding of the people and workforce requirements of site-based and FIFO operations across mining, resources or other operational environments.
- Excellent communication skills, influencing and stakeholder management skills.
- A visible and pragmatic leadership style, with the ability to build credibility across operational and corporate teams.
- Integrity, discretion and a commitment to building high-performing teams.
