Short Order Cook / Cafe Chef | Great Hours | Kingscliff

Saltbean Cafe in Kingscliff is looking for an experienced short order cook or cafe chef to join our team.

We’re a family-owned and run cafe and have been operating for 9 years. We’ve got a good crew, a strong local following and we’re looking for someone reliable who fits in well with the team.

The role

- Around 15- 20 hours per week

- Daytime hours, generally finished by 1pm

- Weekend availability required

- Some flexibility around shifts

- Friendly, established team

This could suit someone returning to work, looking for fewer hours, balancing family commitments, semi-retired, or simply wanting a cafe role that doesn’t take over your whole week.

What we’re looking for

- Breakfast, cafe or short order cooking experience

- Fast, clean and organised

- Reliable and calm under pressure

- Valuable food safety habits

- Good attitude and easy to work with

Experience matters, but attitude and reliability matter just as much.
