ABOUT THE ROLE
We are currently on the hunt for a Greenkeeper to look after the lawns that make Lawnhub, Lawnhub.
Our lawns are our shop window and our test lab. You'll look after at least three of them: Clint's personal lawns, the lawn at our Lawnhub warehouse in Direk, and a sports field project we're working on in Surrey Downs. You'll be responsible for mowing, treating pests and disease, and keeping every lawn to a high standard. Along the way, you'll be on camera teaching our followers what we do and how we do it. No filming or editing needed: our content person handles the camera, you bring the turf knowledge.
This is a full-time role, Monday to Friday, either 7am–3:30pm (38 hours) or 7am–4pm / 8am–5pm (42.5 hours). We're open to either. Pay is $65,000 for 38 hours or $79,000 for 42.5 hours (includes overtime) plus super. All tools, equipment, mowers and protective gear are provided.
The role will require flexibility with travel between our three sites.
Winter heads up: during the non-growing season there is an expectation that you'll work in our Direk warehouse on packing and manufacturing. We expect this to be only 2–3 months a year, depending on winter lawn care requirements. If that's not for you, please don't apply.

- LAWNHUB – Lawnhub is an exciting business with plans of US expansion. It is a direct-to-consumer fertiliser supply business that ships across Australia daily, and the home of Lawnhub Live (our weekly podcast with Clint and Jonesy).
The group is wholly South Australian, family-owned, and operated by Managing Director Clint Adams (@veryclint).
Clint is a dynamic, fast-paced, growth-focused Director who requires a detail-focused team around him to ensure the growth he drives is sustainable and delivered to the highest standard.
The use of technology and social media is highly valued by Clint.
The group is first to market with the adoption and implementation of new technologies and extremely active on social media.

KEY ATTRIBUTES:
- You love turf (probably a little more than is normal)
- You are proud of doing things well and right
- You can explain what you're doing and why, in plain English
- You're happy on camera, or keen to get comfortable there
- You get to work 5 mins early
- You're comfortable with physical warehouse work (lifting, packing, standing at a bench) during the quieter winter months
AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:
- Mowing, edging, fertilising, weed and pest control across all three sites
- Renovations (scalping, dethatching, aeration, topdressing, overseeding)
- Running product trials and keeping proper records
- Irrigation checks, scheduling and basic repairs
- Safe mixing and application of fertilisers and chemicals
- Maintaining mowers and equipment (or organisation of)
- Explaining what you're doing on camera (our content person films it)
- Packing orders and manufacturing fertiliser in our Direk warehouse during the non-growing season (2–3 months a year)
THE MUST-HAVES:
- Current driver's licence and access to a reliable vehicle (fuel costs will be covered during work hours)
- Solid experience maintaining high-quality turf (golf, sports field, bowls, council or premium residential)
- Cert III in Sports Turf Management, Parks & Gardens or Horticulture (highly regarded),
or equivalent experience (we know more than anyone that just because you're not qualified it doesn't mean you don't know what you're talking about but you need to know what you're talking about.)
- Practical knowledge of fertiliser programs, weed control and renovations
- Experience with cylinder and rotary mowers and renovation gear
- Working knowledge of irrigation
- Chemical handling accreditation (e.g. ChemCert AQF3), or willing to get it (this is desirable but not compulsory.)
- Able to carry 20kg packages
- Happy to work in the warehouse for 2–3 months a year in the non-growing season (or be willing to take extended leave during that period)
- Flexibility with travel between our sites
BONUS SKILLS
- On-camera, presenting or social media experience
- Experience with warm-season grasses (couch, kikuyu, buffalo, Santa Ana)
- Irrigation qualifications or controller programming
- Forklift license is not a must but will be looked upon favourably
WHAT WILL YOU ACTUALLY BE DOING:
For most of the year you'll be on the tools at our showcase lawns. You'll keep them looking mint, run trials on new products, and help our media team turn it all into content. In the non-growing season (2–3 months a year), you'll spend time in our Direk warehouse packing orders and manufacturing fertiliser, depending on how much winter lawn care is needed.
