About the role

Central Coast Automotive Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Used Car Manager to join our team in West Gosford, NSW. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in driving the success of our used vehicle division. As Used Car Manager, you will oversee all aspects of our used car operations, from inventory management and pricing strategy to sales team leadership and customer satisfaction. This role is essential to achieving our sales targets and maintaining the high standards Central Coast Automotive is known for in the automotive industry.

Key responsibilities

- Manage the complete lifecycle of used vehicle inventory, including acquisition, valuation, pricing and sales

- Lead, mentor and motivate the used car sales team to achieve and exceed monthly and annual sales targets

- Develop and implement effective sales strategies to maximise profitability and vehicle turnover

- Monitor market trends and competitor activity to ensure pricing competitiveness

- Ensure all vehicles meet quality standards and compliance requirements before sale

- Build and maintain solid relationships with trade-in customers, fleet companies and wholesale partners

- Oversee marketing and promotion of used vehicle inventory across all channels

- Manage budgets and financial performance metrics for the used car division

- Maintain comprehensive records and reporting on inventory, sales performance and customer interactions

- Ensure compliance with all automotive regulations and dealership policies

What we're looking for

- Proven experience of at least 3-5 years in used car sales management or a similar automotive management role

- Demonstrated success in leading sales teams and achieving sales targets

- Strong knowledge of vehicle valuation, pricing strategies and inventory management

- Excellent negotiation and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with customers and suppliers





- Sound understanding of automotive compliance, regulations and dealership operations

- Proficiency with dealership management systems and automotive industry software

- Strong organisational and time management abilities with attention to detail

- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing market conditions

- Valid driver's licence and willingness to test drive vehicles

- A passion for the automotive industry and commitment to customer excellence
