About the role

Central Coast Automotive Pty Ltd is seeking an enthusiastic and results-driven Used Cars Sales Representative to join our team in West Gosford, NSW. This is a full-time position offering an exciting opportunity to work in the dynamic automotive sales industry. As a Used Cars Sales Representative, you will be at the forefront of our customer acquisition strategy, responsible for showcasing our diverse inventory of quality used vehicles and converting prospective buyers into satisfied customers. This role is crucial to the success of our dealership, directly contributing to our sales targets and reputation for excellent customer service. You will work from our West Gosford location, engaging with customers both on the forecourt and through various communication channels.

Key responsibilities

- Greeting and welcoming customers to the dealership, establishing rapport and understanding their specific vehicle requirements and budget parameters

- Conducting comprehensive vehicle demonstrations and test drives, highlighting the features, benefits and condition of each vehicle

- Providing detailed product knowledge and information about used vehicles, including mechanical specifications, service history and warranty options

- Preparing accurate quotations and negotiating sales prices whilst maintaining profitability targets

- Processing sales documentation, including paperwork, finance applications and trade-in valuations

- Following up with prospective customers through telephone calls, emails and messaging to progress sales opportunities

- Building and maintaining a customer database to facilitate repeat business and referrals

- Achieving and exceeding individual and team sales targets on a monthly and quarterly basis





- Maintaining product knowledge of our inventory and staying informed about market trends, competitor offerings and pricing strategies

- Ensuring compliance with all relevant automotive sales regulations and company policies

- Collaborating with other team members including finance, administration and management to ensure seamless customer experiences

What we're looking for

- Proven track record in automotive sales or a similar sales environment, with demonstrable success in meeting and exceeding sales targets

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with diverse customer bases

- Excellent negotiation abilities and a confident, persuasive approach to closing sales

- Knowledge of used vehicles, including mechanical understanding and familiarity with vehicle valuation processes

- Proficiency in using computer systems, CRM software and point-of-sale platforms

- Ability to work independently whilst being a collaborative team player

- High level of professionalism, presentation and attention to detail

- Valid Australian driving licence and willingness to undertake test drives with customers

- Flexibility to work retail hours, including weekends and public holidays as required

- Preference for candidates with experience in automotive finance, trade-in valuations or customer relationship management
