Lifespan Therapies
Brendale
A solid culture, continued clinical growth and the trust to use your experience.
At Lifespan Therapies, we believe in making sure no child is left behind, no matter their ability.
We’re looking for an experienced Paediatric Speech Pathologist who cares deeply about excellent client outcomes and wants to work in a team where collaboration, clinical reasoning and professional growth genuinely matter. Full-time or part-time arrangements are available for the right clinician. We’re more interested in finding the right person for our team than fitting someone into a particular number of days.
You’ve already built your foundations.
Now you’re looking for a workplace where you can use your experience, continue developing, work alongside great clinicians and be trusted to make thoughtful recommendations within a strong clinical framework.
That’s what we’re building at Lifespan.
About the Role
You’ll work across a broad paediatric caseload within our multidisciplinary Speech Pathology, Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy team.
Our services include individual therapy, multidisciplinary care, intensive programs, group programs, Kindy-based services and community initiatives.
Depending on your skills and interests, your caseload may include:
- speech sound disorders and childhood apraxia of speech
- language and early communication
- AAC, including eye gaze and switch access
- literacy and dyslexia
- Autism and other neurodivergent presentations
- paediatric feeding
- developmental delay
- Cerebral Palsy, Spina Bifida and other neurological or genetic conditions
- children with complex communication and physical support needs
We don’t expect every Speech Pathologist to love every area.
We want to understand what you’re great at, what energises you and what you’d like to develop next.
Multidisciplinary Means More Than Sharing a Building
Collaboration is one of our core values, and it genuinely shapes how we work.
Our Speech Pathologists work closely with our Occupational Therapists and Physiotherapists through:
- case conferencing
- joint goal setting
- shared clinical discussions
- multidisciplinary sessions
- collaborative assessment
- informal clinical problem-solving
Children rarely fit neatly within one discipline.
Communication can be influenced by movement, regulation, sensory experiences, motor planning, relationships, environment and participation.
Sometimes collaboration is structured.
Sometimes it’s simply walking down the hallway and asking:
“Can I get your thoughts on this child?”
We want clinicians who value different perspectives and know that strong collaboration leads to better care.
Trusted to Use Your Experience — Supported to Keep Growing
We want experienced clinicians who are confident in their clinical reasoning, while still being curious enough to seek another perspective.
You’ll be trusted to assess,
reason and make thoughtful recommendations for your clients within Lifespan’s clinical frameworks — without being micromanaged or expected to follow a one-size-fits-all approach.
At the same time, collaboration and reflective practice are an important part of how we work.
Our clinicians are expected to discuss complex cases, seek input when needed, participate in supervision and clinical quality processes, and be open to having their thinking respectfully challenged.
You’ll have access to senior clinicians, Discipline Leads and multidisciplinary colleagues to help you think through questions such as:
- Is this intervention creating meaningful change?
- Is the current frequency or delivery model still the right fit?
- Are skills transferring beyond the therapy room?
- Would another discipline or perspective strengthen our approach?
- Do we need to assess, adapt, intensify — or sometimes step back?
We’re not looking for clinicians who work in isolation.
We’re looking for clinicians who can think independently and collaborate exceptionally well.
Culture and Development Matter Here
Our values are:
Collaboration. Innovation. Belonging. Compassion. Patience.
We want Lifespan to be a workplace where clinicians can ask questions, share ideas, challenge thinking respectfully, learn from mistakes and continue growing throughout their career.
You’ll receive:
- structured supervision tailored to your experience
- a generous professional development allowance
- additional PD leave
- internal multidisciplinary training
- case discussions and shared learning
- dedicated non-clinical time
- opportunities to develop specialist interests
- scope to contribute to mentoring, programs or service development if that interests you
Our clinicians also finish client-facing work at 12pm on Fridays, creating protected time for team development, collaboration and professional growth through our Blossom Fridays.
Why Join Lifespan?
Alongside meaningful clinical work, we offer:
- 6 weeks annual leave
- above-award remuneration based on experience
- flexible working arrangements where possible
- quarterly bonuses and incentives for eligible team members
- purpose-built paediatric facilities
- large therapy gyms and consult rooms
- laptop, iPad and clinical resources provided
- administrative support
- travel allowance for community services
- genuine multidisciplinary learning
- opportunities for specialisation and leadership
Importantly, you don’t need to become a manager to keep progressing here.
If your goal is to become an exceptional senior clinician, we value that too.
Our Culture
Our team lives and breathes our values in how we support families and how we show up for each other.
We care about high standards, but we don’t believe high standards require a culture of pressure or perfection.
We want clinicians who can:
- ask for help
- share ideas
- take initiative
- give and receive feedback
- support their teammates
- maintain professional boundaries
- stay curious
- and keep growing
At Lifespan, we describe this through our Gladioli philosophy — standing tall with strength, integrity and resilience, while helping others grow too.
About You
You’ll be an experienced Speech Pathologist who:
- provides thoughtful, evidence-informed and functional therapy
- genuinely enjoys working with children and families
- has strong clinical reasoning skills

- relevant paediatric experience
- National Police Check and NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Medicare Provider Number or eligibility to obtain one
