About us
Main Street Medical Centre in Pialba has been caring for the Fraser Coast community since 1983. We're a bulk-billing GP and skin cancer clinic, AGPAL accredited, and an accredited training practice with the RACGP and ACRRM. Our work has a strong focus on:
- Preventive health
- Chronic disease management
- Women's and men's health
- Skin cancer medicine
You'll work alongside experienced GPs, GP registrars and a supportive team of registered and enrolled nurses.
What's on offer
- Permanent full-time role, 38 hours per week
- Day shifts Monday to Friday, between 7:15 am and 5:30 pm, with no evenings, weekends or public holidays
- Structured orientation to general practice nursing, with mentoring from experienced practice nurses

What you'll do
- Assist GPs with clinical procedures and patient care
- Provide immunisations, wound care and health promotion
- Support chronic disease care plans and health assessments
- Keep accurate electronic health records in Best Practice
- Deliver patient education and preventive health support
What we're looking for
- Current general registration as a Registered Nurse with Ahpra (new graduates awaiting their first registration are welcome to apply)
- An interest in primary care and preventive health
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- A willingness to learn and grow in a GP setting
- General practice experience is welcome but not essential, as full orientation is provided
