EXEC Security is seeking experienced and highly capable Command Centre Operators to join a specialist 24/7 security operation in Melbourne.

Working within the Command Centre, you will form a critical part of an integrated protective security operation, providing real-time monitoring, intelligence, communications and operational coordination to support clients and field-based security teams.

This is a high-trust position requiring exceptional situational awareness, judgement, communication and attention to detail.

The Role

As an Operator, you will provide real-time oversight and coordination across a sophisticated security environment.

You will work closely with Risk & Security Specialists, management, external agencies and other stakeholders to ensure security information is assessed, communicated and acted upon appropriately.

The role combines security monitoring, incident management, intelligence, communications and operational coordination.

Key Responsibilities

Your responsibilities will include:

- Monitoring CCTV, alarms, access control and other security systems

- Identifying and assessing potential security threats and incidents

- Coordinating responses with field-based security personnel

- Managing operational communications during incidents and emerging situations

- Preparing clear and professional incident reports

- Supporting protective security and surveillance operations

- Communicating with emergency services and external agencies when required

- Conducting system checks and supporting operational readiness

- Participating in scenario training and emergency exercises

- Maintaining strict confidentiality across all client and operational information





Experienced operators may also be provided opportunities to undertake supervisory or shift leadership responsibilities.

About You

We are looking for calm, intelligent and dependable operators who can process information quickly and make sound decisions under pressure.

You will ideally have:

- Previous experience in a Security Operations Centre, control room, monitoring centre, emergency communications or command centre

- Excellent situational awareness

- Solid written and verbal communication skills

- Confidence managing multiple priorities simultaneously

- Strong computer and digital systems capability

- High attention to detail

- Excellent incident reporting skills

- Professional judgement and discretion

- Ability to work effectively as part of an integrated operational team

- Availability to work a rotating 24/7 roster including nights, weekends and public holidays

Candidates with backgrounds in law enforcement, defence, intelligence, emergency communications, surveillance, security operations centres or other relevant operational environments are encouraged to apply.

Licensing & Requirements

Applicants must hold, or be able to obtain as required:

- Victorian Private Security Individual Licence with relevant endorsements

- Control Room Operator and/or Monitoring Centre Operator endorsement as applicable

- Current First Aid qualification

- Current Australian Driver's Licence

- National Police Check





- Any additional client-specific security or probity clearances required for the position
