About the role

Valentinos Italian Restaurant is seeking enthusiastic and professional Waitstaff, Food Runners, and Bar Staff to join our team on a casual basis. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a vibrant hospitality environment where you'll deliver exceptional service to our valued guests. Based in Broadbeach, QLD, this casual position offers flexibility whilst being part of a dynamic restaurant team dedicated to providing authentic Italian dining experiences.

What you'll be doing

As Waitstaff, Food Runners, or Bar Staff, you will be responsible for creating memorable experiences for our guests through attentive and professional service. Depending on your role, your key responsibilities may include:

- Greeting and seating guests in a warm and welcoming manner

- Taking accurate food and beverage orders whilst providing knowledgeable recommendations

- Delivering food and beverages promptly and professionally to tables

- Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organisation in dining and bar areas

- Processing payments and handling cash transactions accurately

- Clearing and resetting tables between seatings

- Operating bar equipment and preparing drinks to specification where required

- Responding to guest requests and resolving any service issues with professionalism and courtesy

- Collaborating with kitchen and bar teams to ensure smooth service flow

- Adhering to health, safety, and food handling standards

What we're looking for

To succeed in this role, you should possess the following skills, qualifications, and experience:

- Previous experience in a waitstaff, food running, or bar service role, ideally within a restaurant or hospitality setting

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage positively with guests and colleagues

- Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously

- Reliable and punctual with a professional attitude and appearance





- A genuine passion for hospitality and customer service excellence

- Basic knowledge of food and beverage offerings and menu items

- Physical fitness and ability to remain on your feet for extended periods

- Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems is advantageous

- Current RSA (Responsible Service of Alcohol) certification or willingness to obtain it

- Ability to work in a quick-paced environment and remain calm under pressure
