As a General Practice Nurse at Corio Village Medical Practice, you will play a vital role in assisting our doctors and supporting our patients throughout their healthcare journey. You will contribute to the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered healthcare in a supportive and collaborative environment.
Key responsibilities
- Provide clinical nursing care to patients, including administering injections, dressings, and other nursing interventions
- Assist doctors with medical examinations and procedures
- Conduct health assessments, screening tests, and chronic disease management programs
- Educate patients on health promotion, disease prevention, and self-management strategies
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and ensure compliance with medical practice protocols
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary healthcare team to ensure seamless patient care
- Engage in ongoing professional development to enhance your nursing knowledge and skills
About you
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse or Enrolled Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
- Minimum of 1 year experience in a general practice or primary healthcare setting
- Strong clinical skills and experience in a range of nursing interventions
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with patients and collaborate effectively with the healthcare team
- Demonstrated commitment to continuing professional development and a desire to stay up-to-date with best practice in primary healthcare
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a versatile and adaptable approach
