About the role

The Fox Hole is looking for a solid Commis Chef or an emerging Junior Chef de Partie to join our kitchen team full-time in The Rocks.

You’ll work alongside our experienced Head Chef, preparing our British-inspired menu and contributing to private events and special dining experiences. Whether you’re strengthening your foundations or ready to take more ownership of a section, we’ll match your responsibilities to your experience and help you take the next step.

With the business having achieved 40% year-on-year growth, there are clear pathways to Senior CDP, Sous Chef and beyond as we continue to grow.

What you’ll do

- Prepare, cook and plate dishes to our kitchen standards

- Organise your mise en place and keep your section ready for service

- Work closely with the kitchen team through busy services

- Maintain a clean, organised and food-safe workspace

- Help manage stock, minimise waste and rotate ingredients

- Build your skills and contribute ideas to specials and menus

What we’re looking for

- A solid foundation as a Commis Chef, or the readiness to step into a Junior CDP role

- Commercial cookery qualifications, relevant training or practical kitchen experience





- Sound knife skills and food preparation knowledge—strong knife skills are a definite plus

- Good food safety habits and attention to detail

- Reliability, teamwork and clear communication

- Pride in your work, a willingness to learn and an appetite for taking on more responsibility
