As a Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance and support of the servers, workstations, software and network infrastructure that underpin our customers' integrated security systems. This is a hands-on role suited to someone with a strong background in Windows Server, networking and integrated security platforms who enjoys a mix of technical support, system design, troubleshooting and project delivery.
Key responsibilities
Install, maintain and service server and computer hardware running Windows operating systems
Monitor, maintain and update customer monitoring platforms and software
Install, configure and commission Access Control, CCTV and Intercom software platforms
Provide technical support to field technicians, assisting with troubleshooting and acting as the primary IT escalation point
Diagnose and resolve software, hardware, networking, database and system integration issues
Maintain and update technical documentation for recent and existing systems
Provide system designs and assistance to sales for technical questions for quotes
Assist project teams during deployment, testing and commissioning activities
Attend customer sites when required to support installations, upgrades and fault resolution
About you
Current Driver's Licence
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server and desktop settings
Sound understanding of networking fundamentals
A solid troubleshooter with excellent analytical skills
Comfortable supporting both internal teams and external customers
Able to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
