The Facilities Manager will oversee the maintenance and operations of our manufacturing facility in Murarrie, Queensland. This role is crucial for ensuring a secure, efficient, and productive workplace for our employees. The Facilities Manager will implement best practices in facility management, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations while optimising operational efficiency.
Responsibilities:
Manage the day-to-day operations of the facility, ensuring all systems are functioning effectively.
Develop and implement maintenance schedules for equipment and infrastructure.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and environmental standards.
Coordinate with external contractors and service providers for facility maintenance and repairs.
Monitor and manage facility budgets, including maintenance and operational costs.
Conduct regular inspections of the facility to identify areas for improvement.
Lead and train facility staff, promoting a culture of safety and efficiency.
Prepare reports on facility performance and maintenance activities for senior management.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in facilities management, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
Solid knowledge of health and safety regulations and compliance standards.
Excellent organisational and project management skills.
Proficient in using facility management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively.
Problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure.
