About the role

Reporting to the business owner, you will manage the store's day-to-day operations, supervise the team and maintain consistent standards of food quality, customer service and workplace safety. This is a hands-on management role in a busy food service setting.

Key responsibilities
Plan, organise and oversee daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures.
Supervise kitchen and counter staff, allocate duties and coordinate service during busy periods.
Prepare staff rosters and manage staffing levels to meet customer demand and operating budgets.
Recruit, train and support team members, monitor performance and communicate workplace procedures.
Oversee food preparation, portion control, presentation and order accuracy to maintain consistent standards.
Monitor stock levels, place orders, check deliveries and manage stock rotation to minimise waste.
Monitor sales, labour costs and food costs, and report store performance to the owner.
Manage point-of-sale procedures, cash handling and daily reconciliation.




Resolve customer enquiries and complaints professionally.
Maintain food safety, hygiene, cleaning and work health and safety procedures and records.

About you
Previous management or supervisory experience in a fast food, takeaway or similar food service business.
Proven ability to lead a team and coordinate service in a busy workplace.
Experience with staff rostering, stock control, ordering and cash handling.
Sound understanding of food safety, hygiene and workplace safety practices.
Robust communication, customer service and problem-solving skills.
Ability to monitor operating costs and maintain product and service standards.
Availability to work a roster that includes early starts, evenings and weekends as required.
Relevant hospitality or management qualifications are desirable.
