Our client is a well-established national supplier in the Australian glass and glazing market. They service trade customers, fabricators and product partners across the country. They run a relationship-driven model and work closely with key wholesale customers and industry stakeholders. Their people tend to stay a long time, and they want the same in this hire.
The role
This is a replacement hire. The previous account manager held the territory for five years. You’ll be based on the Gold Coast, managing and growing an existing portfolio of wholesale customers from South Brisbane down to Coffs Harbour.
It’s an external sales role with an account management focus. The job is to grow share of wallet with established customers, not to chase cold leads.
What you’ll be doing
Managing around 50–60 active accounts, with a focus on the top 20% that drive most of the revenue
Building relationships with sales teams, estimators and key decision-makers
Driving product specification and adoption within your accounts
Running regular site visits and customer meetings across the territory
Keeping your CRM call cycle and activity up to date
Hosting customer engagement activities such as lunches and events
Joining weekly Monday sales meetings, with an internal sales team supporting you
About you
Around 5 years’ experience in sales or account management
A background in glass, aluminium, windows and doors, or similar building products
Robust at building relationships, with a commercial focus on growing accounts
Organised in how you run a territory, and comfortable prioritising your key accounts
CRM experience preferred
A secure career history; tenure is highly valued
Based on the Gold Coast or willing to relocate

What’s on offer
Base salary of $100,000–$110,000 + super
Around $15,000 annual bonus, paid quarterly
