This is a position in the beekeeping industry that allows you to work outdoors. This can be a physically demanding role and candidates must be able to complete all physical requirements of the job. The role also requires attention to detail, the ability to work in a team and solo and recognition of safety in the workplace.
Key responsibilities
Regularly inspect hives for health and cleanliness
Extract honey from hives, which involves removing honeycomb frames, processing honey
Move hives to current locations around Tasmania
Undertake work in the production facility to package honey products
Assist with the maintenance of beekeeping equipment
About you
Beekeeping experience is an advantage but a training pathway to the obtainment of a recognised qualification is provided
A truck license is an advantage
A current Medium Rigid Truck or Heavy Rigid License with experience is an advantage but not essential and additional remuneration for this skill will be afforded to successful applicants.
