We are looking for a friendly, skilled, and organised Medical Receptionist to join our busy and welcoming medical practice.

The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for our patients and will play an important role in providing a warm, efficient, and professional experience from the moment patients arrive.

About the Role

Your responsibilities will include:
Welcoming and assisting patients in person and over the phone
Managing appointments, bookings, cancellations, and recalls
Answering patient enquiries and providing general information
Processing payments and handling Medicare/private billing
Maintaining accurate patient records and practice information
Liaising with doctors, nurses, allied health specialists, and other staff
Managing incoming and outgoing correspondence
Maintaining confidentiality and complying with privacy requirements
Supporting the smooth day-to-day operation of the practice

About You

We are looking for someone who:




Has excellent communication and customer service skills
Is confident, friendly, and professional
Is highly organised and able to multitask in a busy setting
Has strong attention to detail
Works well both independently and as part of a team
Understands the importance of patient confidentiality
Has previous medical reception or healthcare administration experience desirable
Has experience with medical practice software desirable
