About the role
You will manage construction activities, budgets, schedules and resources to deliver projects safely, on time, within budget and to the required quality standards.
Key responsibilities
Plan, organise and oversee construction projects from commencement to handover.
Interpret architectural drawings, specifications and contractual requirements.
Prepare and manage project budgets, construction schedules and resource allocations.
Coordinate site teams, subcontractors, suppliers and delivery of materials and equipment.
Liaise with clients, architects, engineers and other consultants to resolve project issues.
Arrange tenders, review submissions and negotiate contracts within delegated authority.
Monitor progress, expenditure and quality, and implement corrective action where required.
Manage variations, progress claims and project documentation.
Ensure compliance with building requirements, contractual obligations and workplace health and safety requirements.
Prepare progress reports and coordinate inspections, defect rectification and final handover.
About you
A relevant qualification in Construction Management, Building, Civil Engineering or a related discipline, or substantial relevant experience.
Demonstrated experience managing construction projects of a similar type and scale.
Robust knowledge of construction methods, contracts, budgeting and scheduling.
Proven ability to coordinate subcontractors and manage competing deadlines.
Robust leadership, communication, negotiation and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office.
A current White Card and any licences required for the role.
