Lead daily operations, pedagogy, and staff at Norfolk Island’s premier early learning centre. Champion NQF/NQS compliance, mentor educators, and build strong family connections in partnership with the Business Manager.
Duties
Lead service accreditation and ensure continuous NQF/NQS compliance
Mentor, onboard, and coach educators to build solid team culture
Drive play-based learning and pedagogical quality across all rooms
Manage day-to-day centre operations and step into floor roles as needed
Build solid, trusted relationships with families and the local community
About You and Your Leadership Experience
ACECQA-recognised teaching qualification or Diploma in Early Childhood
Proven Centre Director or senior ECEC leadership experience
Strong knowledge of NQF, NQS, and accreditation processes
Demonstrated team coaching, mentoring, and performance management skills
Adaptable leadership approach suited to a remote island community

About the company
Founded in the 1970s, Banyan Park is a community-based, not-for-profit early learning centre operating from a modern facility opened in 2020. As Norfolk Island’s sole ECE service, we welcome ~55 children aged 0–5 and are renowned for high-quality, play-based care.
