Project Engineer – Reinforcement Steel, Civil & Concrete
Global Steel Australia – Penrith, NSW | Full time | $120k–$150k + super
Global Steel is a growing reinforcement steel processing and supply business based in Penrith, now expanding into civil and concrete services. We're looking for a hands-on Project Engineer to help run projects from quote through to delivery and grow with us across all three divisions.
Key responsibilities
Read and interpret structural and civil drawings; prepare and check reo schedules and bar bending schedules
Quantity take-offs, estimating and quoting for reo supply, civil and concrete works
Coordinate production, delivery and installation schedules with the factory, logistics and site teams
Liaise with builders, engineers, subcontractors and suppliers on RFIs, variations and design changes
Track project costs, margins and progress claims
Attend site meetings and inspections; manage quality, compliance and WHS documentation
Support business development and tendering for recent civil and concrete work
About you
Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or Construction Management (or working towards one with relevant experience)
2+ years in reinforcement steel, concrete, civil or construction
Solid drawing-reading skills; detailing software experience (e.g. aSa, RebarCAD, Revit) is a big plus
Organised, a clear communicator, and comfortable juggling multiple projects
Current driver's licence and White Card
What we offer
$120,000 – $150,000 + super, depending on experience
