ICU Nurses provide specialised care to critically ill patients in intensive care units, emergency departments, and specialty units. They monitor patients’ vital signs, administer medication, and provide emotional support to patients and their families.
Responsibilities:
Provide nursing care to critically ill patients in the ICU.
Monitor and record vital signs and medical equipment readings.
Administer medication and ensure correct dosage.
Educate patients’ families about medical conditions and treatment.
Assist physicians in medical procedures.
Ensure patients’ physical comfort.
Collect and analyse data to modify care plans.
Provide emotional support to patients and families.
Maintain accurate electronic health records.
Qualifications:
Active nursing license.
Minimum 2 years of ICU nursing experience.
Excellent patient care, assessment, and communication skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced setting with critical thinking ability.
Availability to work diverse shifts as needed.
BLS and ACLS certification.
Attention to detail, positive organisational and time-management skills, and ability to work independently.
