We are seeking a reliable and hands-on person to join our team. This role involves repairing and restoring a wide range of items, with a solid focus on timber furniture as well as additional workshop-based tasks. You will work across multiple materials and processes, contributing to high-quality repair and finishing outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
Repair and restore timber furniture, including chairs, tables, and other wooden items
Assess damage and determine appropriate repair methods
Sand, fill, glue, and refinish timber surfaces as required
Replace or repair damaged components such as legs, joints, and frames
Perform basic metal work, including cutting, shaping, and minor fabrication
Carry out basic welding tasks (training can be provided if required)
Repair ceramic items using appropriate adhesives and restoration techniques
Operate laser engraving equipment for marking and customisation work
Assist with picture framing, including cutting, assembling, and finishing frames
Use hand and power tools safely and effectively
Maintain a clean and organised workshop environment
Assist with general workshop duties as required
Skills & Experience:
Experience in furniture repair, woodworking, or general workshop work (preferred but not essential)
Basic knowledge of timber, metal, and/or ceramic repair techniques
Familiarity with hand and power tools; welding or CNC/laser equipment experience is an advantage
Valuable attention to detail and workmanship
Ability to work independently
Physically fit and capable of manual handling
Solid work ethic and willingness to learn
Pay: $32.00 per hour
