The role

An exciting prospect has arisen for an experienced Legal Assistant in our busy Sydney Family Law practice working within the practice of Martina Storgato, Partner. As a Legal Assistant you will display initiative, professionalism and high attention to detail with experience ideally within a Family Law practice group.

Responsibilities will include the following:
Preparing legal documents and letters;
Diary management including liaising with recent client enquiries, opening matters, undertaking AML and Conflict Searches, and preparing Costs Agreements;
File management/paralegal work (including liaison with clients, barristers, courts, Senior Associates,



Associates, Lawyers and Graduates etc);
Coordinating team meetings/events; and
Billing/managing trust and office receipts, etc.

Who We’re Looking For

The ideal candidate will have 3+ years’ experience working in professional services in a family law environment. Excellent communication and diary management skills, with a client service focus are essential, as well as the ability to work in a team and follow directions. You will be proficient in MS Word and formatting. You will have the ability to, prioritise tasks, display initiative, have good attention to detail and a proven history of meeting deadlines. The core office hours are 8.45am to 5.15pm, however, extra hours maybe necessary during busy periods.
