Role: Monitoring Specialist – Infrastructure
Location: Brisbane CBD
Contract: 12 months initial, possible exension
About the Role:
We’re seeking a Monitoring & Observability Specialist to uplift enterprise monitoring, logging, alerting and operational visibility across a large, complex technology setting.
You’ll assess current-state capability, define the target state, and deliver practical improvements that increase service resilience and incident response effectiveness (with an eye toward AIOps maturity).
Responsibilites:
Assess existing monitoring, observability, logging and event management capability and identify gaps
Produce a Monitoring & Observability Strategy plus future-state roadmap
Define standards, governance, ownership and operating model for monitoring/logging
Improve alert quality, dashboards, reporting, and operational workflows
Lead tactical uplift initiatives and support transition into BAU (docs/KT/support model)
Qualifications:
Experienced with in enterprise monitoring/observability/logging/infrastructure operations
Skilled with:
Splunk (Consultant/Architect/Admin)
Azure Monitor / Azure Admin / Azure Solutions Architect
Dynatrace / Datadog / Current Relic / Elastic / Grafana / Prometheus
Proven experience designing/implementing monitoring & observability solutions at scale
Solid stakeholder engagement and ability to produce high-quality strategy/standards documentation
