An exciting prospect is available for an experienced Project Accountant to take a lead role in a significant finance and systems implementation within a complex public sector workplace.

This is a senior, hands‑on finance role suited to someone who combines solid management accounting, financial governance and reconciliation experience with the ability to work across projects, systems and senior stakeholder groups. It is a contract role through to end of Feb 2027.

The Role
Leading the finance workstream supporting the implementation and enhancement of a major financial management system.
Establishing and strengthening financial governance, including reconciliations, financial controls, reporting and compliance processes .
Providing financial oversight across project activities and ensuring risks, issues and deliverables are effectively managed.
Supporting the design of robust end-to-end financial processes and controls.




Analysing and reconciling large and complex financial datasets to ensure accuracy and data integrity.
Providing high-quality financial advice and reporting to senior stakeholders.

About You

You will ideally have:
Extensive management accounting and financial analysis experience.
Strong experience with financial governance, reconciliations, controls, audit readiness and compliance .
Experience contributing to or leading the finance workstream of a complex project or transformation.
Exposure to ERP, financial or management systems implementations or upgrades .
Advanced analytical skills and experience working with large volumes of financial data.
CPA, CA or postgraduate qualifications will be highly regarded
