CYC Forest Edge is set on a beautiful 120 acre property on the banks of the LaTrobe River, catering year-round for 200+ guests at a time. We have the privilege of hosting a variety of groups with varying needs and objectives, from high-energy adventure focused programs through to relaxing retreats.
As part of our Catering team you have the opportunity serve our guests through providing tasty, visually appealing and healthy meals, in a clean, pleasant, and welcoming camp environment.

ABOUT THE ROLE
/n
Reporting to the Head of Catering, the Cook/Chef’s main goal is to ensure that our guests receive delicious and nutritious meals on time, in accordance with the food safety plan, and served with exceptional customer service.

Key responsibilities include:
/n
/n
Prepare and cook meals as per the pre-arranged menu
/n
Oversee special diets
/n
Communicate with guests regarding the needs of their groups including dietary needs
/n
Monitor food quality and presentation
/n
Ensure food service areas are clean and organized.
/n
Assist in the development and creation of current menu items.
/n
Adhere to the food safety program and kitchen cleaning/maintenance programs
/n
Train and mentor kitchen staff,
ensuring a high level of customer service and professionalism.
/n
