Position: Chef

Position Type: Full-Time

Salary: $77,000 to $80,000 plus superannuation per annum

Location: Quakers Hill NSW 2763

Our client is seeking is seeking a passionate Chef to join their team located in Quakers Hill, New South Wales.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Prepare, cook and present a variety of breakfast, brunch and lunch dishes in accordance with the café’s menu and quality standards.
Assist with menu planning, recipe development and the introduction of new dishes and daily specials.
Monitor food preparation and cooking processes to ensure consistency in taste, portion sizes and presentation.
Maintain appropriate stock levels, monitor ingredient usage and assist with ordering kitchen supplies.
Inspect the quality of ingredients and ensure food is stored, handled and prepared correctly.
Monitor kitchen costs, minimise food wastage and use ingredients efficiently.




Maintain cleanliness and organisation of kitchen equipment, workstations and food preparation areas.
Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene and workplace health and safety requirements.
Work collaboratively with other kitchen and front-of-house staff to support smooth café operations and train staffs.

Requirements:
Diploma of Hospitality Management
Minimum two (2) years of experience as a Chef in a café, brunch venue, or casual dining environment
Knowledge of breakfast, brunch and lunch preparation and cooking techniques.
Robust understanding of food safety, hygiene and secure food handling practices.
Ability to manage food preparation and cooking tasks in a busy kitchen workplace
Strong teamwork and communication skills
