Goodwill Painting Services Pty Ltd is seeking a skilled and reliable Painter to join our team in Beveridge, Victoria. The applicant will carry out surface preparation and painting work, delivering quality finishes while maintaining secure and organised worksites.
Key duties and responsibilities
Read work instructions and specifications to determine painting requirements and estimate materials.
Prepare surfaces by cleaning, scraping, sanding and removing old paint.
Repair cracks, holes and surface imperfections using suitable fillers and sealants.
Protect floors, fittings, furniture and surrounding areas before commencing work.
Select and mix paints, primers and other coatings to achieve the required colour and finish.
Apply primers, undercoats and finishing coats using brushes, rollers and spray equipment as appropriate.
Paint interior and exterior surfaces,
including walls, ceilings, doors, windows and woodwork.
Inspect completed work and carry out touch-ups to ensure consistent coverage and quality.
Safely use ladders, access equipment and painting tools.
Clean and maintain equipment, dispose of waste appropriately and follow workplace health and safety procedures.
Skills and experience
Relevant qualification in Painting and Decorating, or equivalent relevant trade experience.
At least 1 year of relevant painting experience.
Sound knowledge of surface preparation, coating products and application techniques.
Solid attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
