The Category Buying and Planning teams work closely to drive sales, maximise profit, and deliver on-trend ranges that excite our customers.Our Planners are a mix of strategic problem-solvers and creative analytical thinkers who love products.
They analyse and forecast financial and product trends, review the performance of our products, and make sure that sufficient stock is available.
They also work with brands and suppliers to negotiate price structures, delivery dates, specific merchandise requirements and contracts so that we continue to meet our goals.
They are key in rolling out company-wide projects and have a keen eye for process improvement and streamlining – they are dedicated to efficiency and love the numbers.
We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Planning Manager to join our growing Men, Kids & Home team to help us evolve the landscape of Australian e-commerce and fashion.

Reporting to the Planning Director, this role will be responsible for driving the Menswear, Kids & Home Planning team & working closely with departmental planning teams.
As part of the planning team you will be responsible for maximising business profits and meeting the strategic direction of the business through effective management of merchandise from conception to sale.
As the leader in the Men's Planning team you will support,
coach and mentor team members to achieve business goals.About the RoleDrives the segment strategy and contributes to the wider business strategyDevelops a mid to long term strategic view to drive growth and profit for the segment that compliments the company mid to long term targetsRolls up and presents the over segment strategy, ensuring a comprehensive strategy pack backed by a solid financial plan is delivered and implementedLeads company wide projects from a Category Management view, providing support and ensures completionSuggests actions to take based on potential future concerns, either based on economic or social trendsAnticipates the Manager's needs and prepares documentation, analysis or responses ahead of timeWorks closely with the Manager to maximize profit for the seasonMonitors all facets of the segment, implements plans for any underperforming departments and identifies ways to potentialize opportunities to still deliver segment KPI'sDrives the focus for marketing campaigns and support.
Ensures promotional activity delivers the best possible outcome, retaining marginSupports Company Planning with management of reporting Company wide and GlobalWorks closely with other Planning Managers to have a united Category Management approachCollaborates cross functionally, establishing strong relationships with key departments.
Drives projects and improvements that require support and input from key stakeholders across the businessChallenges, develops and inspires their team.
Demonstrates strong communication and management skills, ensures deadlines are met and the team have a clear understanding of what is required of them at all timesKey SkillsPrevious experience working for an eCommerce Fashion retailer is desirable5+ years in Merchandise planning Management is desirableExcellent attention to detail and analytical skillsExpert knowledge of ExcelStrong commercial acumen & instinctive trading skillsAbility to communicate at all levels with an open and honest approachExceptional organizational skills with the ability to meet deadlines & work under pressureProactive mindset with the ambition to drive improvementsThinking ahead mentality to continuously challenge the status quoCollaborates cross departmentally, establishing strong relationships with other Category Management departments.
