Job DescriptionEnemix are partnering with a leading Australian engineering, construction, and maintenance provider delivering large-scale power and energy projects across the country.With a strong pipeline of Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), wind farms, and critical power infrastructure projects, our client is looking to appoint a Senior or Principal Power Systems Engineer to support delivery across several landmark developments.The OpportunityThis is a hands-on engineering role with direct involvement in large-scale, construction-led projects, offering exposure across the full lifecycle from studies and design through to commissioning and operations.You will play a key role in delivering high-quality, construction-ready power system solutions, supporting grid compliance, system performance, and project execution.Key ResponsibilitiesPower System Studies & AnalysisPerform detailed studies including:Load flow and short circuit analysisProtection coordination and arc flash assessmentsVoltage and transient stability analysisHarmonic and power quality studiesEarthing and ground grid analysisContingency and reliability assessmentsGrid Connection & ComplianceSupport generator, renewable, and BESS grid connection studiesAssess compliance with:AEMO requirementsNational Electricity Rules (NER)DNSP/TNSP standardsAssist in model development and validation for:Generators and inverter-based systemsTransformers and transmission networksProtection and reactive plant systemsWhat We're Looking For5+ years' experience in power systems engineeringBackground within an EPC or project delivery environment highly regardedDegree in Electrical / Power Systems EngineeringMembership (or eligibility) with Engineers AustraliaCPEng (or working towards) preferredStrong understanding of Australian power systems and utility standardsExperience with tools such as: DIgSILENT PowerFactory, PSCAD / EMTDC, ETAP, SKM, CYMCAP, CDEGS (or similar)Advanced analytical and modelling capabilityStrong attention to technical detailEffective communication and reporting skillsAbility to manage multiple projects and competing deadlinesCollaborative and proactive approach to stakeholder engagementStrong engineering judgement and problem-solving capabilityWhy Consider This Role?
