We are seeking a dedicated and hands -on Production Assistant to support the daily operations of our farm.
This role involves working closely with the Production and Estate Managers to execute production plans, supervise farm workers, and ensure optimal productivity and quality standards are consistently achieved.If you are passionate about agriculture and thrive in a fast -paced, outdoor environment — we would love to hear from you!
Key Performance OutputsField SupervisionSupervise and coordinate daily farm activities (pickers and general workers)Assign tasks and ensure output aligns with productivity targets and standardsProvide training on harvesting, pruning, planting, and maintenanceMonitor quality and productivity, providing hands -on support when neededHands -On Farm WorkParticipate in:Blueberry harvesting and quality selectionPruning, planting, and trellisingIrrigation setup and monitoringFertilizer and crop protection application (as trained)Conduct regular field inspections to identify plant health or irrigation issuesOperational SupportAssist with daily and weekly planning of farm operationsMonitor yields, harvest volumes,



and labour performanceMaintain accurate production records and timesheetsSupport coordination between field and packing operationsResource ManagementEnsure proper use and maintenance of tools and equipmentMonitor inventory levels (fertilizers, trays, irrigation materials)Report breakdowns and assist in resource efficiencyHealth, Safety & ComplianceUphold food safety, hygiene, and compliance standardsEnsure proper PPE usage and safe work practicesReport risks and maintain basic compliance recordsRequirementsMinimum RequirementsCertificate VI, Diploma, or Degree in Agriculture, Horticulture, or a related fieldBasic knowledge of farm management systems and Microsoft OfficeMinimum 2 years' experience in farm production (preferably soft fruit or low chill varieties)Exposure to full crop production cycle (land preparation to harvesting and maintenance)Key CompetenciesTechnical SkillsKnowledge of crop production, irrigation, and pest controlAbility to monitor farm conditions and troubleshoot issuesStrong organisational and problem -solving skillsBehavioural SkillsEffective team supervision and communicationStrong interpersonal and people -management skillsAdaptability to weather and seasonal demandsDetail -oriented and results -drivenAbility to perform under pressureWhy Join Us?
