This is an excellent opportunity for experienced Psychiatrists looking for a senior clinical leadership role with a strong focus on community and regional mental health care, multidisciplinary collaboration, and service development.
This role is suitable for substantive appointments and is open to internationally trained Psychiatrists eligible for specialist registration in Australia.The Role As a Consultant Psychiatrist, you will provide high-level clinical leadership, assessment, diagnosis and treatment for adult mental health patients across a regional mental health service.
The position includes a mix of community-based care, inpatient consultation, outreach and telepsychiatry, and plays a key role in shaping service delivery.
You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team including Psychiatry Registrars, RMOs, nursing staff, allied health professionals and Aboriginal health services.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide consultant-level psychiatric assessment, diagnosis and treatmentDeliver clinical leadership and specialist advice across mental health servicesParticipate in community, inpatient and telehealth service deliverySupport and supervise Psychiatry Registrars and junior medical staffParticipate in multidisciplinary team meetings and service planningContribute to safety, quality improvement and clinical governance activitiesParticipate in ECT governance and statutory reporting (where applicable)Support culturally safe,
