DescriptionWe are seeking a reliable and safety-focused Warehouse Yard Hand to support the daily operations of our Melbourne Service team.
This hands-on role is responsible for the safe movement, storage, preparation and dispatch of capital equipment, while maintaining a clean, organised and efficient warehouse and yard environment.If you enjoy working in a fast-paced operational environment, take pride in keeping things organised, and have experience in warehouse, yard, transport, recycling or industrial settings, we'd love to hear from you.Reporting to the Logistics & Operations Manager, you will play an important role in managing the flow of equipment through our warehouse and yard operations.Key ResponsibilitiesYour key responsibilities will include:Loading and unloading trucks, containers and transport vehicles safely and efficientlyReceiving, identifying and tagging equipment, batteries and chargersPreparing and staging equipment for dispatchAssisting with stock control and monthly stocktakesInstalling and allocating batteries and chargers to equipmentManaging storage locations and maximising available warehouse spaceAssisting with the control and processing of equipment designated for scrapMaintaining stock, yard and warehouse presentation standardsReporting hazards, incidents and safety concerns promptlyWorking closely with transport providers, workshop personnel and internal stakeholdersWhat We're Looking ForTo be successful in this role, you will have:A current Forklift Licence (essential)Previous experience in a warehouse, yard, logistics, recycling or industrial environmentStrong commitment to workplace health and safetyGood organisational and time management skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamStrong attention to detailA proactive, hands-on approach to workPhysical fitness and the ability to undertake manual handling tasksHighly RegardedExperience working in a scrap metal, recycling or salvage yardExperience handling large equipment,
