As a
Demi Chef
within
Rivo Restaurant
, you'll support our culinary team in delivering consistently high-quality dishes and memorable dining experiences for our guests.
Working closely with our Chef de Partie, Sous Chef and wider kitchen team, you'll help prepare, cook and present food to the highest standards while contributing to the smooth running of daily service.
As part of our
pre-opening team
, you'll also have the opportunity to help establish the kitchen standards, routines and culture that will define Rivo from day one.
What You'll Do
Prepare, cook and present dishes in line with recipes, quality standards and presentation expectations.
Support mise en place and ensure ingredients are prepared and stored correctly.
Monitor food quality, portioning, presentation and consistency.
Maintain accurate food logs and follow required food safety procedures.
Regulate and safely operate ovens, grills, broilers and other kitchen equipment.
Prepare hot and cold food items as required.
Communicate menu specials, shortages and operational requirements with the culinary and Food & Beverage teams.
Support the Chef de Partie and senior chefs during busy service periods.
Support and guide junior culinary team members where required.
Follow all food safety, hygiene, workplace health and safety, and Marriott International procedures.
What We're Looking For
We're looking for a qualified culinary professional who is passionate about food,



quality and working as part of a high-performing team.
You'll ideally bring:
At least 3 years of relevant culinary experience.
Strong food preparation and cooking skills.
Good understanding of kitchen hygiene, food safety and safe food handling practices.
Excellent attention to detail and pride in presentation.
Strong organisation and time-management skills.
The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
Flexibility to work a part-time rotating roster including evenings, weekends and public holidays.

Preferred Qualifications
Education:
Recognised Commercial Cookery qualification or equivalent chef qualification
Experience:
At least 3 years of relevant culinary experience preferred.
Certifications:
Current Food Safety Certificate
