You'll work closely with the Directors and enjoy meaningful client interaction, exposure to a diverse client base, and genuine long-term career opportunities.The firm embraces modern technology, utilising MYOB Accountants Enterprise, Xero, MYOB cloud solutions and BGL software for SMSF administration and compliance.
Your new role
As a Senior Accountant, you will manage a broad portfolio of business services and taxation clients while providing outstanding client service and practical advice.Your responsibilities will include:
Preparation of financial statements and income tax returns for companies, trusts, partnerships and individuals
Preparation of SMSF financial statements and compliance obligations (optional depending on your experience)
Management of client compliance matters including BAS, IAS and other taxation requirements
Researching and interpreting taxation legislation and providing advice to clients
Building strong relationships with clients and becoming a trusted adviser
Identifying opportunities to assist clients with business improvement and advisory matters
Supporting and mentoring junior accountants where required




Working closely with the Directors on complex client matters and advisory projects
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you will have:
CA or CPA qualification completed
3+ years' experience within an Australian public practice accounting firm
Strong technical knowledge of Australian taxation legislation and compliance requirements
Experience preparing financial statements and tax returns across a range of entity structures
Strong working knowledge of Xero and cloud-based accounting systems
SMSF experience, including preparation and compliance obligations (optional)
Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain technical matters clearly
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability
A commitment to ongoing professional development and continuous learning
