Your new role:Reporting directly to senior management, this is a hands-on Accountant position with responsibility for the day-to-day financial management of the business.
You will play a key role in providing accurate financial information, maintaining strong financial controls and supporting commercial decision-making across the organisation.
Key responsibilities will include:
Preparation of monthly management reports and financial statements
Budgeting, forecasting and cash flow management
General ledger maintenance, reconciliations and month-end processes
Oversight of accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
Payroll review and compliance support
Project costing, profitability reporting and financial analysis
Preparation of statutory reporting requirements including BAS and GST
Liaising with external accountants, auditors and professional advisers
Driving process improvements and strengthening financial controls
Supporting operational leaders with reporting and commercial insights
What you'll need to succeed:
To be considered for this opportunity,



you will possess:
Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline
Proven experience in a broad accounting role
Strong financial reporting and management accounting capability
Experience preparing budgets, forecasts and cash flow reports
Advanced knowledge of Xero
Sound understanding of payroll, GST, BAS and statutory compliance requirements
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
High attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities
Strong communication skills and the confidence to work with stakeholders across the business
CA or CPA qualifications, or progress towards completion, will be highly regarded.
Experience within a project-based, contracting, construction, engineering or industrial environment will also be advantageous.
