Hays is partnering with a Queensland Government department to recruit an experienced Transcription & Quality Assurance Officer for a short-term contract based in Brisbane CBD.
This role is ideal for candidates with exceptional attention to detail, strong typing capabilities, and experience working with complex documentation where accuracy is critical.Working within a professional workplace, you will be responsible for reviewing, formatting and quality assuring transcripts to ensure they accurately reflect original audio recordings and meet established departmental standards.
The role requires advanced Microsoft Word skills, strong listening and comprehension abilities, and a commitment to delivering high-quality work within strict guidelines.Your new role
As the Transcription & Quality Assurance Officer (ID: QLDGJP********), your responsibilities will include:
Transferring speech-to-text outputs into approved Microsoft Word templates
Conducting detailed quality assurance reviews of transcripts against audio recordings
Identifying and correcting transcription, formatting and content errors
Formatting documents to meet departmental style requirements
Producing accurate,
high-quality documentation in accordance with established procedures and standards
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:
Strong typing and high-volume data entry skills
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
Experience reviewing and quality-checking documentation
Advanced Microsoft Word skills, including document formatting and templates
Well-developed listening and comprehension skills
The ability to identify and rectify errors efficiently
Knowledge of court proceedings, legal terminology or court documentation requirements will be highly regarded
