With a strong reputation for service excellence and safety, they are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to join their Sydney-based team.Your new role
As Account Manager/Operations Manager, you will oversee the delivery of service and maintenance operations for a key client portfolio.
You will lead a team of field technicians, manage customer relationships, and ensure service delivery meets contractual, compliance and performance requirements.
Key responsibilities include:
Leading and mentoring a team of technicians across service and maintenance activities
Managing daily operations to ensure work is delivered safely, efficiently and to a high standard
Conducting toolbox talks, inductions and ongoing team development activities
Supporting workforce planning, scheduling and resource allocation
Managing client relationships and attending regular account management meetings
Monitoring contract performance and ensuring service delivery aligns with client expectations.
Ensuring compliance with workplace health and safety requirements, company policies and key performance indicators
Carrying out site inspections, audits and field leadership activities
Identifying opportunities to improve operational performance and service outcomes
Assisting with debtor management and administrative duties where required
Resolving operational issues and implementing practical solutions to enhance service delivery
What you'll need to succeed
Previous leadership, operations or account management experience within a service-based environment
Exposure to the fire protection, electrical, mechanical, building services or facilities management sectors
Strong people management and leadership skills
Experience managing customer accounts and building long-term client relationships
Excellent organisational and scheduling abilities
Sound understanding of workplace health and safety requirements
Strong commercial awareness and the ability to balance customer expectations with operational performance
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
A proactive and solution-focused approach to problem-solving
The ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced workplace
