With one of the most prospective land positions in the Cobar Basin, we are unlocking value through discovery, development, and growth.The Great Cobar Project, with an eight-year mine plan and strong exploration upside, will drive the next generation of growth at Aurelia and create diverse career pathways for those wanting to be part of a high-performance, forward-thinking culture.About the roleThis is a rare opportunity to join the Geology team at Federation Mine, one of Australia's highest-grade underground gold operations.As a Geological Field Technician, you'll play an important part in supporting exploration and mining activities by processing drill core, collecting geological data and assisting with sample preparation and dispatch.
Working alongside experienced geologists and mining professionals, you'll gain hands-on exposure to the discovery, evaluation and extraction of ore that helps drive the future of the operation.This role is ideal for someone who enjoys practical, detail-focused work, thrives in a team environment and is looking to build a long-term career in the mining industry.

12 hours per day (Dayshift only)Location: Federation Mine, Nymagee NSWTravel ArrangementDIDO (Drive-In, Drive-Out) from locations within an 800km radius of Federation MineTravel allowance providedNo FIFO option availableKey responsibilitiesMark up drill core, including metre and orientation markings, accurately and consistentlyCollect and record geological data and complete required data entryPhotograph and maintain accurate records of core traysCut drill core and collect samples as directed by the supervising GeologistManage drill core storage and retrieval to ensure samples and core are readily accessibleEnsure timely and accurate sample dispatch to assay laboratoriesQualifications and experienceTo be successful in this role, you will have:A current Australian C Class Driver's LicenceExperience using computers, data entry systems or databasesStrong attention to detail and organisational skillsThe ability to work safely and effectively within a team environmentThe ability to obtain a National Police ClearanceHighly regarded but not essential:Previous experience in geology, exploration, mining, laboratory, environmental or field-based rolesExperience handling geological samples,
