About the role:
Juniper Karinya, located in Embleton, is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our supportive residential aged care team on a casual basis.
In this role, you will assess residents' clinical needs, coordinate care with healthcare professionals, and implement and review person-centred care plans.
You will also provide guidance to care staff and help ensure high standards of clinical care for residents.
We are looking for a compassionate and motivated Registered Nurse who is passionate about aged care and committed to delivering safe, high-quality care.
The successful candidate must have availability through the week to cover planned and unplanned leave.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct clinical assessments and respond to changes in resident health and wellbeing
Develop, implement and review person-centred care plans in partnership with residents and their families
Administer medications and provide clinical treatments in line with professional standards
Provide leadership, mentoring and guidance to care staff
Liaise with GPs, allied health professionals and external providers to coordinate resident care
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation and reporting
Support AN-ACC assessments and ensure accurate clinical documentation
Ensure compliance with Aged Care Quality Standards, policies and best practice
Participate in infection prevention, risk management and quality improvement initiatives
Key Requirements:
Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
2+ years' experience as an RN in an aged care setting (or equivalent)
Robust clinical assessment and care coordination skills
Ability to guide staff in wound and diabetes management
Sound understanding of medication systems
Excellent communication, teamwork and problem-solving skills
