An established national provider of technical maintenance and building services is seeking an Operations & Billing Administrator to join its Melbourne team.

The role will commence on a temporary basis with the view to becoming permanent for the right person.
Your new role
Supporting a busy service delivery environment, this role plays a key part in ensuring completed works are accurately captured, reviewed and billed in line with customer contracts.
Working closely with Service Delivery Managers, Schedulers and operational teams, you'll be responsible for investigating job information, preparing invoices and ensuring the accuracy of operational and financial records.
Key Responsibilities
Review completed service jobs and prepare customer invoices
Investigate technician notes, materials used and supporting documentation to ensure billable items are captured correctly
Identify missing costs, purchase information and chargeable works
Create and process invoices through the ERP system
Support Service Delivery Managers and operational teams with billing queries
Raise purchase orders and process associated documentation
Maintain accurate customer, contract and service records
Monitor compliance with contractual billing requirements
Assist with operational reporting and data accuracy
Provide general administrative support across service and delivery functions
What you'll need to succeed
You may come from a background in service administration, contract administration or operations administration.
I'm looking for someone who:
Has experience creating invoices for services or contract-based work
Understands how to interpret operational information and translate that into customer billing
Enjoys investigating discrepancies and finding missing information
Is comfortable working with numbers and performing basic calculations
Has strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
Communicates confidently with operational and administrative stakeholders
Learns systems and processes quickly
Is adaptable, approachable and willing to ask questions
Brings a positive, team-focused attitude and enjoys working collaboratively
Experience Required
Previous experience in a billing, service administration, contract administration or operations support role
Exposure to ERP systems such as SAP or similar
Strong administration and data entry skills
Intermediate Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel
Experience supporting operational or service-based teams will be highly regarded

Working Arrangements
This role is full-time and based in the Inner East.
Employees are expected to work on-site during the initial training and onboarding period.
