Job Description
About the role
We're building a dedicated team in south-west Sydney to support a participant living with autism, behaviours of concern and high physical care needs in their own home.
Shifts are currently weekday mornings.
Over the next few months, support will increase to 24/7 care.
Once the full roster is in place, we're looking to move casual staff into permanent positions.
The participant is also expected to move to Engadine in the coming months, and we're hoping the team will move with them, so our preference is that staff will be able to work in Engadine as well.

Personal care and hygiene support
Manual handling, including hoist use and transfers

Following the participant's Behaviour Support Plan using consistent, positive strategies
Supporting communication, daily routines and emotional regulation
Completing accurate shift notes and incident reports

Experience with personal care and manual handling
A calm, patient and consistent approach
Reliability, as consistency is very important for this participant

PEG feeding experience

Weekday morning availability now, and afternoon and overnight availability as the roster grows
Don't have PEG or hoist experience, but have strong personal care and behaviour support experience?
We still encourage you to apply.
Training is provided.
Essential requirements
Current First Aid and CPR (or willingness to obtain)
NDIS Worker Screening Check
Working With Children Check
Valid driver's licence and reliable vehicle
Smartphone and basic digital skills for shift notes and communication

Let us know in your application if you're open to other locations as well.
