Andrews House Residential Aged Care Facility – Trafalgar
Permanent part time position, up to 24 hours per fortnight available
Leisure and Lifestyle Assistant, Grade 1 (IN31 - $***** p/h) or Grade 2 (IN32 - $***** p/h)
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the West Gippsland Healthcare Group in the role of a leisure and lifestyle assistant.
Reporting to the Lifestyle Coordinator and Facility Manager, you will work within a motivated and dedicated team that provides the support and entertainment to residents living at Andrews House.
This stimulating role would suit someone enthusiastic, creative, flexible, enjoys working within a team and is dedicated to providing great service to their client group.
Our preferred candidate will have:
Certificate IV in Lifestyle or Leisure or Certificate III/IV in Allied Health Assistant
Advanced computer skills in Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel.
A thorough understanding and respect for confidentiality requirements.
Responsible and mature work attitude.
A Driver's license (willing to drive a 10-seater vehicle)
Basic computer skills (including Microsoft applications and willing to learn the facilities recording system)
Willing to work the occasional weekend
The following experience/qualifications would be also considered advantageous:
Previous experience in Residential Aged care – Lifestyle programs
Knowledge of privacy legislation and document control.
Knowledge of the Aged Care Quality and Safety Standards
IMPORTANT:
Some roles in the healthcare sector are required to be vaccinated annually for Influenza (unless a valid exemption applies).
Evidence of vaccination (or exemption)
will be required to be provided prior to commencement.

These positions are based at Andrews House Aged Care Facility in Trafalgar, located 45 minutes from Pakenham with a stress free commute along the freeway and a short 5 minute walk from the Trafalgar Train Station.
