About the role:
Carinity Education–Gladstone is seeking a passionate, experienced, andproactive Senior Youth Worker – Student Wellbeing (SYWSW) to joinour committed and student focused team.
In this rewarding leadership role, you will guide and supportour Youth Worker team to deliver consistent, trauma-informed andstrengths-based support for young people.
Leading by example, youwill help create a safe and inclusive environment where studentsfeel valued, supported, and empowered to overcome challenges, buildconfidence, and achieve positive personal and educationaloutcomes.
You will oversee student wellbeing casework, coach staff ineffective youth work practices, support responses to complexbehaviours and critical situations, and champion trauma-informedapproaches across the School.
You will also build strongrelationships with students, families, colleagues and communitysupport services to ensure young people receive coordinated andmeaningful support.

What do you need for the role?
You are acompassionate and resilient youth work professional who ispassionate about supporting young people to overcome barriers andachieve positive outcomes.
You bring strong leadership skills, astudent-centred approach, and the ability to build trustingrelationships in a dynamic and rewarding educationalenvironment.
A Diploma of Youth Work or a related discipline
Experience supporting vulnerable,
disengaged ormarginalized young people to achieve positive outcomes
A strong understanding of co-regulation practices andtrauma informed approaches to behaviour support
Demonstrated experience leading, supervising and mentoringYouth Workers in a complex or challenging environment
Demonstrated experience in the development, implementation,and monitoring of student's Individual Learning Plans through astructured Support Committee
Highly developed interpersonal, verbal, and writtencommunication skills, with the ability to collaborateeffectively with students, families, and multidisciplinaryteams
Current Working with Children Check (Blue Card)
Current Bus Licence (LR) or willingness to obtain
