We're seeking an experienced technical leader to take charge of a multi-disciplinary team with a leading mining house.

Myndshift Group have been engaged by our client partner, a major mining house with a strong presence across Australia's resource sector, to appoint a
Technical Services Superintendent
to an established open cut coal operation in Central West NSW.
About the Rolen
n
Lead the technical services function across mine planning, surveying, coal quality and logistics, drill and blast, and
geology/geotechnical,
providing clear direction and accountability for a multi-disciplinary team
n
Drive short, medium and long term mine planning to deliver safe, efficient and commercially sustainable coal extraction, balancing production targets with resource optimisation
n
Reporting to the Technical Services Manager, work closely with operational leaders to ensure delivery aligns with production targets, statutory requirements and environmental obligations
n
Stay close to the upstream technical work,



bringing hands-on technical credibility while building, coaching and developing a newer, growing team
n
Champion a strong safety culture and collaborative working relationships across technical and operational teams
n

What We're Looking Forn
n
Tertiary qualification in Mining Engineering or a related discipline
n
Significant open cut black coal experience, with a strong background in mine planning and technical services
n
Proven ability to lead, develop and engage a multi-disciplinary technical team
n
Willingness to stay hands-on with upstream technical requirements
n
Sound knowledge of NSW coal mining legislation and regulatory requirements
n
Strong commercial, analytical and problem-solving capability
n
Excellent communication, influencing and stakeholder management skills
