This position is permanent fulltime position, based in Regional WA, Package includes Excellent Salary plus Superannuation Housing, Vehicle and Relocation.
This shire is seeking an experienced Asset Manager to support the planning, governance and technical delivery of its infrastructure portfolio.
Reporting to the Director Infrastructure Services, you will be coordinating plans, monitoring levels of service and risk, and partnering across the organisation so infrastructure is managed with clarity, discipline and a long-term view.
This is a hands-on technical role for someone who can deliver high-quality work without close direction, and who understands how asset planning, budgets and operational programs fit together in a local government setting.
About the Role:
Coordinate, review and update operational Asset Management Plans, including action plans, document control and storage, in line with Shire policy and practice.
Monitor and report on action-plan progress, resource requirements, levels of service, operational risk and demand management across all asset classes.
Support the review and implementation of work programs and financial plans, including lifecycle costing.
Develop and formalise asset management policies, procedures and work instructions.
Assist directorates with the annual budget process, including fees and charges justifications and operating and capital estimates.
Manage relevant expenditure,



income and grant accounts, including acquittals, within delegated authority.
Prepare project charters and undertake minor project work as directed.
Arrange and undertake infrastructure condition assessments with the Infrastructure Services team.
Use SynergySoft and Encapsulate for administration, reporting and records.
Provide technical support to other divisions as required, and continually improve administrative and financial procedures against Shire standards.
What you bring
Tertiary qualifications in engineering, asset management or building, or substantial trade or construction experience that delivers an equivalent level of skill and knowledge.
Solid knowledge of asset management practice, financial analysis, estimating, forward planning and customer service delivery.
Knowledge of tender preparation, contract administration and the related local government statutory requirements.
Experience in contractor management.
Transparent written and verbal communication, and the ability to produce accurate reports and plans.
Competent computer skills, including corporate systems and reporting.
