At Goonyella, we provide labour, supervision, technical support and mobile plant to perform truck and excavator pre-strip operations for one of Queensland's largest coal mining operations.
About the Role
Reporting to the Warehouse Supervisor, we are seeking an experienced Storeperson to join our Goonyella team on a permanent full time basis.
Working within a team of six, you will be responsible for supporting a busy mining warehouse holding more than 4,000 SKUs.
This is a hands-on role suited to an organised individual who can confidently manage inventory, receipting, picking, dispatch activities and stock control processes within a fast-paced mining environment.
Key responsibilities include:
Issuing parts against maintenance work orders
Receiving, unloading and receipting incoming stock
Picking and packing parts for maintenance requirements
Loading and dispatching outbound freight
Managing stock returns and inventory transactions
Maintaining tooling registers and equipment records
Managing lifting equipment registers and certification requirements




Maintaining consumable and PPE stock levels
Conducting weekly cycle counts and inventory reconciliations
Participating in scheduled warehouse stocktakes throughout the year
Escorting delivery vehicles on site as required
Operating forklifts and material handling equipment safely and efficiently
Maintaining a clean, organised and safety-focused warehouse environment
About You
To be successful in this role, you will be a motivated warehouse professional with previous experience in the mining, heavy equipment, construction or related industries.
You will bring:
Previous experience in a warehouse or stores environment
Mining and/or heavy equipment industry experience preferred
Experience with inventory management and stock control systems (SAP or similar)
Current C Class Driver's Licence
Strong computer literacy and data entry skills
Sound literacy and numeracy skills
Strong organisational and time management abilities
The ability to work independently and as part of a team
A proactive approach to safety and continuous improvement
