We are currentlyseeking a Trades assistant to work on the day shift.
Aboutthe role:
Reportingto the Engineering and Reliability Manager, this hands-on role is responsiblefor supporting the maintenance and repair of mechanical equipment, with a focuson picking trolleys and general plant infrastructure.
The Trades Assistantworks closely with the broader Engineering and Reliability team to ensuremachinery and tools are operating safely, efficiently, an d with minimaldowntime.
Key responsibilities include:
Assist in maintenance, fault diagnosis, andrepair of picking trolleys, mechanical equipment and machinery.
Carry out welding, lubrication, andmechanical adjustments as required.
Carry Out Preventive Maintenance activities for equipment andmachinery.
Maintain accurate service and equipmentrecords in the MEX system.
Report all maintenance requirements andmaterials needed to the Maintenance Manager.
Ensure a clean, protected, and organised workarea,



and follow all company safety standards.
Participatingin training, development, and continuous improvement initiatives.
About you:
Tobe successful in this role, you will bring hands-on maintenance experience, aptitudefor learning and implementing mechanical trade skills, a proactive approach,and a commitment to high safety and quality standards.
We are looking for someone with:
Previous experience in a mechanical ormaintenance role beneficial.
Trade qualifications and weldingproficiency beneficial.
Demonstrated ability to follow instructionsand maintain clear communication with team members.
Commitment to safety, teamwork, andcontinuous improvement.
Experience with MEX or similar maintenancesystems is an advantage.
Strong problem-solving and decision-makingskills under pressure.
High attention to safety, quality, andenvironmental standards.
Aproactive and accountable approach to work.
